The jam
Two days. One game. Any AI tool. Code, art, music, voices, 3D. Enter solo or as a team and ship a browser game to itch.io that plays on phones.
New to AI game development? Start with our guide to making the best AI game and the step-by-step Godot to itch.io export walkthrough.
Format
- When. 48 hours, from 15:00 UTC on October 29 to 15:00 UTC on October 31, 2026. The theme is revealed at the start on the itch.io jam page and Discord.
- Mobile portrait. Games must run at a portrait phone resolution, such as 720×1280 or 1080×1920.
- Web export. Export to HTML5 and upload to itch.io so it plays in the browser. No downloads.
- Submit on itch.io. Entries are submitted through the jam page before the deadline.
- Judging. Games are rated by judges on the average of Fun, Visual Appeal and Theme Following. Results will be released November 7.
- Prize contact email. Every submission must include a valid email address in the private prize-contact field. This is required to receive prizes, and only jam hosts can see your answer. Do not post email or payment details publicly.
- AI everything. Use any AI tools you like for code, art, audio and design. Tell us what you used on your submission page.
Prizes
Cash prizes are paid in USD. Sponsor-specific prizes will be added as they are confirmed.
Sponsors
Sponsoring Slapjam puts your tool in front of hundreds of developers during the weekend they are actively choosing what to build with.
Every sponsor also posts about Slapjam four times on their own social media. Full details, or email sponsor@slapjam.ai to become a sponsor.

Can I…?
Probably yes. If the rules above don't forbid it, it's allowed: let an AI agent build the whole thing, use any engine that exports to HTML5, use paid tools and asset packs you have the rights to, enter solo or as a team, enter from anywhere.
Submit more than one game?
Yes, as many as you like. Each entry is judged on its own.
Enter without itch.io?
No. Every entry goes through the itch.io jam page, so we can't accept zips or games hosted anywhere else.
Make my game in another language?
You can. English is recommended for your game description and instructions.
Skip the tools question?
Yes. The tools checklist is optional, and answers are public. Tick every listed tool you actually used for this game. Select "None of these" alone only if you used none of the listed tools. Blank means unreported, not non-use. These options do not imply sponsorship; no sponsor-specific prizes are confirmed for Slapjam #2.
Fix my game after the deadline?
No. Builds can't be updated after the deadline, not even to fix a game-breaking bug.
Enter without PayPal?
Yes. If you win, we'll find a way to get the payment to you. Cash prizes are paid in USD.
