Enter Slapjam from your phone with Jamboree | Jamboree

No laptop needed. Make your entry in Jamboree, publish it, paste the link into our converter, and upload one file to itch.io. Here's the whole run.

1. Get the app

Jamboree is free on iPhone (iOS 18 or newer). Make an account and you're ready before the theme drops at 15:00 UTC on September 28.

2. Make the game

Describe the game you want, or start from a photo, a drawing or a "Cheat" (a ready-made game type). Keep it to one mechanic that fits the theme, then use Quick Edits to tune the speed, the jump, the timing, until it feels good. Add music and sound effects from the app. Jamboree games are portrait by default, which is exactly what Slapjam asks for.

3. Publish and copy the link

Publish the game, open its share page, and copy the address. It looks like https://www.jamboree.app/games/…. That page plays in any browser, and it's what judges will play.

4. Turn it into an itch.io entry

1. Paste the link into our converter and download slapjam-entry.zip.
2. On itch.io, create your project, set the kind to HTML, upload the zip, and tick This file will be played in the browser.
3. Set the viewport to 720×1280, tick Mobile friendly, set orientation to Portrait, and enable the Fullscreen button.
4. Submit it to the jam page before the deadline. Tick Jamboree in "Which of these did your game use?", and list your tools on the game page.

Good to know

Your game keeps living on Jamboree; the itch.io entry just embeds it, so it needs an internet connection to play. Judges play the itch.io page on a phone or a desktop browser, so open yours once on each before you submit.
